JOBSCOPE RELEASES VERSION 14 FOR IBM iSERIES
JOBSCOPE Software, a leading provider of Integrated Manufacturing Information Systems for order-driven companies, announces the release of Version 14 for the IBM iSeries. With over twenty enhancements to the new release, the software continues to provide ETO and MTO companies with business solutions that increase efficiencies. Major enhancements to the AS/400 version of JOBSCOPE are in the areas of database triggers, data audit utility, and accounting functionality. "I am very excited about additional functionality in version 14", said Hank Sanders, President of Jobscope. "These enhancements increase the overall value of the JOBSCOPE product to our existing customer base as well as future customers." Database triggers enable real-time interface to JOBSCOPE from external sources such as web applications, bar-coded data entry, and third-party software. A data audit utility enhancement is part of the AS/400 upgrade. This function allows system administrators to build audit criteria on data, capture the data, and report it. Users can now set up audits on their sites to see what changes individual users are making on customer data. Accounting functionality and inventory management of the AS/400 version have also been improved. Accounts Payable now features options to create accrual batches for unmatched receivings and also balance unmatched receivings. Accounts Receivable includes a payment function to pay multiple invoices from one customer check. Under Inventory Management, customers will have the ability to differentiate inventory loss and gain by type and to recognize make or stock manufacturing variance independent of inventory control. A backflusing function allows users to charge for labor, materials, or both at the same time.
